Kinsa is recruiting for a:  Maintenance Manager / Meat Packaging    
                                   

Location: Owensboro, KY area (Onsite)

Our client is a prepared food product and meat packaging company based in the Owensboro, KY area. The Maintenance Manager is a hands-on position that is responsible for preventative and routine maintenance tasks in our food manufacturing plant. The Maintenance Manager works with their staff to troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.

  • Equipment knowledge of Weber slicers, Multivac sealers, Flow wrappers & Labelers, REQUIRED.

Compensation/Benefits:                                                                         

  • $100,000 – $120,000 compensation range
  • 5-7% bonus potential

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

  • Machine maintenance, breaking down equipment, adjusting and setting up for daily production.
  • Preventative maintenance, which includes daily and weekly inspection on all aspect of machinery.
  • Develops budgets for plant maintenance, projects and major and minor line improvements.
  • Schedules, supervises, and directs the work of the staff.
  • Evaluates performance and works with Plant Manager regarding personnel issues.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Able to work overtime and on-call for emergency situations when needed. Weekend work required as needed.

Competencies Needed for Success:                                                                                   

  • Minimum 5-7+ years’ experience in FOOD production/ facility maintenance; 3 years’ supervisory experience.
  • Experience with SQF or other GFSI program.
  • College degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering; equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
  • Must be a proactive team player who learns quickly when facing new problems and a learner open to change.
  • ADVANCED mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Ability to manage, develop and train maintenance staff.
  • Must be able to work with power tools and work on high and low voltages. Have own tools.
  • Equipment knowledge of Weber slicers, Multivac sealers, Flow wrappers & Labelers, REQUIRED.
  • Able to read engineering schematic such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic.
