Production Manager

Kinsa is recruiting for a:  Production Manager – Packaging          
Location: Onsite in Kansas City, Kansas

Our client is a well-respected provider of packaging services for the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage industry with an opportunity for a Production Manager to join their team. The Production Manager will manage the labor and materials needed to meet production and customer needs. You will have 4 direct reports and will report to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be accountable for the production department to ensure efficiency and the highest quality products are produced at the lowest cost to meet customer demands
• Ensure all facility equipment is maintained and up to company standards
• Monitor quality metrics daily and provide recommendations on solutions
• Prepare and conduct periodic internal and external audits
• Establish and maintain annual production budget

Education & Experience Needed:                                                              

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of work experience required, OR a minimum of five years of progressive job experience in the food/beverage industry
• Working knowledge of the principles of manufacturing management, supply chain capabilities, Good Manufacturing Practices and LEAN Six Sigma in a manufacturing environment
• Solid understanding of HACCP and food safety guidelines and requirements
• Knowledge of and experience with ISO (22000, 9000, 14001, etc.) or similar management system
