Kinsa is recruiting for a: Warehouse Manager – Food Processing
Location: Sioux City area, South Dakota

Mission:
Our client, a successful producer of premium Frozen/Refrigerated products, is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their team. Supervises and coordinates activities of shipping, receiving, and stockroom with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and service. Managing the loading of trucks and unloading of materials. Manage maintain communication with all departments, carriers, and others involved in the shipping and delivery of merchandise. Ensure that all parties work together to guarantee that shipments are packed, sent, and delivered in a timely manner.

Successful candidates MUST HAVE warehouse management experience within in the food manufacturing industry.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Directs the daily stockroom activity for all functions, including prioritizing workload for job pulls. Monitoring the timely processing of incoming shipments and stocking the items in the warehouse. Maintain all and shortage pulls to support production operations. Schedules all manpower requirements for shipping, receiving and the stockroom.

  • Coordinates all requirements (within Shipping, Receiving, and Stockroom) of internal departments to meet customer requirements for delivery and accuracy of shipments.

  • Reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, Customer Service requirements and other records to determine priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking, to distribution.

  • Oversees outgoing shipment activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

  • Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.

  • Develop procedures and train employees on stock transaction procedures and proper material handling.

  • Maintains maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and material handling equipment by preventive maintenance and inspection for defects. Notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.

    Competencies needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Outstanding organizational/attention to detail skills and deliver timely output requirements.

  • Customer Focus with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly collaborative —ability to work well with site management team to jointly achieve company objectives other cross-functional partners — with a sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
