Manager of Contract Manufacturing – Meat

Kinsa is recruiting for a:  Manager of Contract Manufacturing – Meat    
Location: Hybrid/Remote – New Jersey

Our client is a global supplier of the highest quality food products and services to distributors, manufacturers, supermarkets, and food service operations, with a new opportunity for a Manager of Contract Manufacturing/Co-Packers to join their team. As the Co-Packer Manager you will be the primary point of contact between the company and co-packers, facilitating clear and effective communication to ensure efficient, high-quality and cost-effective meat processing and packaging.  Every team member contributes to their success with their “can-do” attitude, positive demeanor, and family values.

*** 3+ years experience managing co-packers in the meat industry required ***

Key Responsibilities:
•    You will work with co-packers to develop and maintain production schedules, meeting company demands and customer orders
•    Work with co-packers to implement process improvements and corrective actions when quality issues arise
•    Track production metrics, including output, quality, and efficiency, to ensure co-packers meet performance standards
•    Manage the logistics of transporting products to and from co-packing facilities, ensuring timely delivery and receipt
•    Perform regular audits of co-packing facilities to verify adherence to quality and safety standards
•    Assist in the preparation and management of the co-packing budget
•    35% travel 

Education & Experience Needed:                        
•    5+ years of plant experience in the meat industry or food processing, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role required
•    Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
•    understanding of meat processing, food safety regulations, and quality control guidelines
•    Ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships
