Kinsa is recruiting for a: Operations/Food Safety Manager – Meat                   
Location: Onsite in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Our client is a small family-owned provider of meat products with a new opportunity for an Operations Manager/Food Safety Manager, to join their team in Milwaukee. This is a hands-on role requiring being on the floor monitoring the production, quality and food safety operations to ensure products are made at the highest standard, quality is not compromised. You will report to the Vice President.

*** 7+ years’ experience in food processing, USDA, HACCP, SQF required ***

Key Responsibilities:

• You will manage and execute the HACCP, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures, and general SOP programs
• Work closely with USDA inspectors, customers, employees and consultants to ensure all systems meet industry standards
• Lead investigations of quality-related incidents, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and R&D, to drive innovation and operational improvements

Education & Experience Needed:                                                              

• 7+ years of experience in a food processing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred
• Experience with HACCP, SQF, and USDA regulations is required
• High proficiency with computers and Microsoft office suite of products
