Kinsa is recruiting for a: Sr. Quality Assurance Manager – Frozen Fruit Snacks
Location: Lubbock, TX Area

Mission:
Our client, a producer of premium frozen fruit and ice-cream snacks, is looking for a Sr. Quality Manager to add to their team. 

Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and/or other singular qualifier under Competencies/Culture below).

What you’ll be responsible for:

• The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is the SQF practitioner with the responsibility and authority to use the SQF code
• Execute the company’s FSQA strategy (High Quality Safe Food), aligning with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive FSQA documentation, including SOPs, HACCP plans, and food safety management systems
• Conduct audits (internal, external, supplier) and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive controls to mitigate food safety risks
• Establish and monitor key quality and sanitation metrics (KPIs)
• Maintain a Deviation/ CAPA Log, engage motivate cross functional team to execute actions in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain a process audit to ensure all operational and quality in-process and finish good monitoring are completed and verified
• Oversee Quarantine inventory and execute action plan in a timely manner
• Oversee overall compliance to SQF, FDA , and company Sanitation standards
• Oversee effectiveness of preoperational inspections conducted by QA team and trend analysis of data for continuous improvement
• Execute and maintain a robust Environmental Monitoring Program for Listeria
• Lead and enforce RCA on investigation/vector swabbing when observed suspect Listeria positive

Competencies/Culture:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology or related field
• 8 + years of Food Safety and Quality Assurance leadership experience in a food processing environment
• Experience with GFS/SQF
• Certified in SQF, HACCP and PCQI
• Experience with regulatory bodies and 3^rd party audits
• Experience leading a team of QA professionals
