Kinsa is recruiting for a: Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing
Location: Tarbaro, North Carolina
Shift: 1st 6AM – 3PM; On-site M-F available
Our client is a frozen bakery food manufacturer. The mission for the Production Manager is to provide efficient management and inspiring leadership to deliver business results and operational improvements. The Production Supervisor will have the responsibility of directly supervising 30 – 40 production associates and will collaborate closely with all other departments in the bakery including maintenance, sanitation, and shipping.

Successful candidates MUST HAVE 3+ years of experience managing a production team of 30+ employees AND food manufacturing experience; bakery preferred!
Compensation/Benefits:
- $70,000 – $85,000 compensation range

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
- Ensure safety, quality, continuous improvement, performance management, associate development, team engagement, and operational results in your designated area.
- Foster an effective team on your shift, managing the training strategy for both individual team members and the group as a whole.
- Implement and uphold established policies along with area and organizational strategies.
- Coordinate materials, staffing, and resources to support line operations and transitions.
- Mentor operators to enhance their functional and leadership skills while fostering accountability in areas such as people safety, quality, food safety, autonomous maintenance, and team engagement.
- Create, implement, and advocate for safety programs and best practices by actively participating in plant safety teams, programs, and initiatives.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in food production
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to handle difficult conversations
- Must be able to work occasional Saturdays
- Must be willing to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Knowledge of FDA, USDA, and EPA is highly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Kronos knowledge is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
