Kinsa is recruiting for a: Vice President of Operations- Snack Food         
Location: Onsite in Bay City, Oregon

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of snack food products sold to Grocery, Convenience chains and ecommerce channels with an opportunity for a Vice President of Operations to join their team in Oregon. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operational performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure goals are met to produce high quality snack foods. You will report to the CEO and will have 4 direct reports. Highly visible role for a visionary leader who can manage cross-functional teams and delegate authority.

Key Responsibilities:
•    You will oversee the daily operations to enhance production capacity while minimizing costs
•    Develop and implement the operational strategies to ensure clear direction across departments
•    Ensure accountability for production output, product quality, and on-time delivery, setting clear metrics for success
•    Ensure adherence to USDA regulations and maintain compliance with SQF3 standards and all food safety guidelines
•    Effectively allocate resources and optimize asset utilization to achieve operational excellence and financial performance

Education & Experience Needed:                        
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required
•    10+ years’ plant operations experience, strong knowledge of budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation
•    Familiarity with food safety regulations and protocols
•    Able to lead root cause analysis investigations 
•    Proficient with MS Office 
•    Aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting 
•    Familiarity with MRP system Microsoft NAV, Just Foods, SAP or similar ERP system is highly preferred
•    Strong sense of urgency
