Chief Operating Officer – Nutraceutical

Kinsa is recruiting for a: Chief Operating Officer – Nutraceutical/Vitamins/Supplements

Location: Onsite in Las Vegas, Nevada

Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturer of functional foods and supplements with a new opportunity for a hands-on Chief Operating Officer to join their team at their state-of-the-art facility in Nevada.  The COO will bring vitamin/supplement operations experience needed to provide leadership and direction to all core operations to ensure operational efficiency, growth and scalability.  The COO will have up to 10 direct reports and will report to the President.

*** 10+ years in a hands-on senior production operations role in vitamin/supplement industry/food, solid knowledge of ERP systems, Bachelor’s degree required***

• Competitive base salary starting at $250K plus bonus TBD

Key Responsibilities in this role:

• You will work closely with other members of the executive team to develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive operational excellence, optimize efficiency, and achieve business objectives
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics, to meet customer demand and minimize costs
• Maintain rigorous standards of reporting and measurement across departments to ensure operational effectiveness
• Drive initiatives to improve the supply chain, focusing on procurement, inventory management, and cost efficiency
• Provide leadership and direction to the operations and support teams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Education & Experience Needed:                                                              

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline
• 10-15 years in senior operations roles, specifically in nutraceutical/Pharma manufacturing environments
• Expertise in managing operations functions, including Supply Chain, IT, Facilities, Engineering, Logistics, and Customer Service
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, essential for tracking and reporting operational metrics
• Skilled in leading high-performing teams
