Kinsa is recruiting for a: Plant Manager, Food Manufacturing
Location: Phoenix area, AZ (Onsite, relocation available)
Our client is a large producer of high-quality foods. They draw on relationships with premier suppliers to provide the highest quality food to customers. For many years, their commitment to quality and innovation has been key to their growth. They are looking to add a Plant Manager in Phoenix area, AZ. You will provide overall leadership in the plant, guiding the team and instilling best practices to meet goals of people & food safety, quality and cost management.
- Relevant Bachelors degree required and 5+ years of plant manager experience (food production/processing). Bilingual (Spanish) required. Excellent knowledge of relevant food safety and quality regulations. Solid audit experience. P&L expertise.
Compensation/Benefits:
- $170,000-180,000 base salary plus bonus

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
- Manage operations for the facility and provide leadership to improve productivity and develop talent.
- Provide strategic direction – capital expenditures, business planning, budget management, performance management, succession planning, and culture.
- In partnership with Human Resources, oversee hiring, discipline, terminations, performance management, and talent development.
- Develop systems to evaluate and implement manufacturing and business system process improvements incorporating Lean tools. Develop and manage operating budgets and plant P&L.
- Help develop equipment preventative maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines.
- Review and support improvements such as capex, cost reduction, safety, meeting customer requirements, and supporting market growth.
- Oversee ongoing efforts to optimize cost, working capital, inventory accuracy and customer service. Lead long-term resource planning.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- Education and/ or Experience – University degree or college diploma in engineering or manufacturing required – no exceptions.
- 7+ years of food production operations leadership experience. At least 5 years at Plant Manager level.
- Strong P&L experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish) – no exceptions.
- Strong food safety & quality experience. Solid audit experience.
- Strong inventory, supply chain, and production management skills.
- Expertise in Lean/ Six Sigma Manufacturing: Kaizen, 5S, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP.
- Some travel required.
