Maintenance Manager

Kinsa is recruiting for a: Maintenance Manager, Nuts and Snacks
Location: Phoenix area, AZ (Onsite)

Our client is a large producer of high-quality edible nuts, dried fruit, and snacks. They draw on relationships with premier growers around the world, supplying top ingredients to customers. For over 50 years, their commitment to quality and innovation has been key to their growth. They are looking to add a Maintenance Manager to their plant in the Phoenix area. You will be responsible for the premises, production operations, and services. You will develop and optimize maintenance services within the plant to generate safety, cost reductions and efficiency gains.

• Relevant Bachelors degree and 10+ years of plant manager experience in a food production/processing operation. Excellent knowledge of equipment, and preventive and predictive maintenance.

Compensation/Benefits:

• $110,000-120,000 base salary plus bonus

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

• Create and manage the annual maintenance budget to ensure all building and operations equipment and systems are in optimum working order. Recommend and participate in capital investment projects.
• Establish and manage a proactive preventative and predictive maintenance program to prevent problems with building systems/operations machinery. Coordinate all repair activities with other departments.
• Establish and maintain an inventory system to ensure adequate stock of parts.
• Build and report on indicators that will be used to evaluate maintenance activities.
• Manage, audit, and ensure maintenance of sprinkler/alarm systems and fire protection equipment. Ensure system maintenance audit documents are available upon request.
• Promote a culture of safety. Promote and administer all safety policies. Investigate and report work-related accidents and property damage. Manage safety work orders.

Competencies Needed for Success:

• 10+ years related experience within a manufacturing and/or packaging environment. 5+ years of demonstrated skilled trades leadership experience.
• Reliability-Centered Maintenance, Root Cause Failure Analysis and advanced knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of budgets, process reports, and other financial statements.
• JDE or other ERP experience required.
• Experience with BRC/SQF, HACCP regulations and GMP expertise.
• Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.
