Demand Planning Manager – Food

Kinsa is recruiting for a:  Demand Planning Manager – Food industry
Location: Hybrid in Portland, OR

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of snack food products sold to Grocery & Convenience chains with an opportunity for a Demand Planning Manager to join their team.  You will be responsible for all forecasting involving customers and products, interfacing regularly with the CEO, VP of Operations, Sales CFO and Sales Executives.  You will report to the Vice President of Supply Chain.

*** 3+ years of Demand Planning experience in the Food industry, Bachelor’s degree required ***

Key Responsibilities:

• You will create demand forecast models for customers for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function
• Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers
• Maintain demand planning system and software,
• Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results

Education & Experience Needed:                                                              

• BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
• 3+ years of food industry experience in demand planning
• APICS or other forecasting Certification preferred
• Knowledge of SAP/APO, Manugistics, Oracle Demand Planning or other software related to demand planning is preferred
