Kinsa is recruiting for a:  Business Development Mgr. / Imports & Distribution    
                             

Location: NYC (Remote w/daily or weekly visits to stores)

Must live in NYC area or be willing to relocate.

Our client is an importer and distributor of ethnic food based in New York, NY. The mission for the Business Development Manager is to play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding our ethnic market presence. You will have responsibility for developing strategic sales plans, fostering relationships with customers and key stakeholders, achieving sales targets, and maximizing profitability. Being excited about and understanding ethnic markets and leveraging cultural insights in our customer base is key in this forward thinking company.

  • Successful candidates MUST HAVE 5 to 10 years of experience in ethnic market food sales and business development.

Compensation/Benefits:                                                                         

  • $130,000 – $150,000 base salary / negotiable for right candidate
  • Negotiable bonus potential

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Manage key accounts and negotiate contracts to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct regular (daily or weekly) visits to ethnic stores and specialty markets in the NYC area to gather market intelligence and identify new product opportunities.
  • Represent us at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote brand awareness and networking opportunities.

Competencies Needed for Success:                                                                                   

  • Demonstrated experience in visiting and engaging with ethnic grocery stores or markets, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances and community dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience in visiting and engaging with ethnic grocery stores or markets, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances and community dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel weekly or daily.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills to facilitate communication with diverse store owners and customers not required, but a plus.
