Kinsa is recruiting for a: Director of Sales / Restaurant, QSR, Education Channels / Dairy Beverage
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Fully Onsite – NO REMOTE)
Our client is a frozen dairy beverage manufacturer based in Los Angeles, CA. The mission for the VP of Sales is to be the senior leader of a results-oriented team that drives sales growth in this burgeoning industry. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for strategically developing and implementing sales growth plans, mentoring a small sales team and national brokers, and representing this company locally and across the nation. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing frozen beverage company, driving sales excellence, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
- Successful candidates MUST HAVE a minimum of 5 years of Management level sales experience in the food and beverage industry. 10 years of overall sales experience required.
Compensation/Benefits:
- $180,000 base salary
- 20% bonus potential

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue growth targets and expand our presence in the food service market and enter the retail market.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small high-performing sales team and national brokers in each state.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, finance, and customer success teams to align strategies and drive synergies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key accounts, strategic partners, and industry influencers.
- Oversee pipeline management and sales forecasting, ensuring accurate reporting and informed decision-making.
- Work locally as a sales representative to learn the intricacies of the business and drive local sales around Los Angeles.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows as needed.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, within the food or beverage industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Experience in managing and leading high-performing sales teams, as well as brokers.
- Strong understanding of the food service and retail market.
- Strong data analysis skills, expert-level critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Prior sales knowledge with national and/or regional accounts, with proven ability to close.
- Prior experience selling to the education and military sectors is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work from the Los Angeles HQ office.
- Ability to travel nationally at least 50% of the time.
