Kinsa is recruiting for a: National Retail Sales Manager
Location: Remote (30% travel – must live in Midwest or northeast)

Our client is a global leader in Greek foods. Found in many retail locations around the US, the company follows the same delicious Greek recipes customers have known and loved since the company was founded over 40 years ago. They are looking to add a National Retail Sales Manager to their team. In this critical role, you will direct and manage the retail, independents, distributors and broker functions to ensure success with these those accounts.

  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience. Experience with the chilled dips and specialty cheese/deli category. Experience managing brokers.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • $120-155k base salary plus bonus

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

  • Establish goals and objectives for the sales team. Review performance and oversee improvements.
  • Manage key retailers, brokers & distributors.
  • Set and execute strategies to revenue & profit growth targets nationally.
  • With Export Manager, set pricing for new products, manage price increases and discounts.
  • Design & execute promotions that maximize profitable growth. Spend within budget, assess & adjust plan.
  • Be the “voice of retailer” for planning new product launches and other ad hoc business developments as needed.
  • Maintain regular sales forecast for customers within the region. Report on sales performance, customer and competitor activities.

Competencies Needed for Success:

  • 5+ years of proven retail sales experience, including strategic accounts & scale retailers
  • Experience with the chilled dips and specialty cheese/deli category.
  • Experience with broker management.
  • Strong financial acumen. Ability to manage budgets and overall trade management.
  • A strategic thinker, proactive diplomatic problem solver and a detail-oriented tactician.
