Kinsa is recruiting for a:  Director of Sales – Food Service, Meat products    

Location: Remote in Midwest states

Our client is a family-owned provider of a variety of meats products with an opportunity for a Director of Sales – Food Service to join their team. This role is open due to retirement. You will be responsible for developing new business with large corporate accounts and restaurant chains to position the company as a preferred supplier in the food service sector. The Director of Sales will report to the VP of Sales.

Compensation/Benefits:                                                      

  • Competitive base salary up to $160K plus bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will develop and execute a sales strategy to tap new markets in food service segments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with food service distributors, restaurant chains, wholesalers and large institutional buyers
  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts and pricing strategies
  • You will be the primary point of contact for new major customers, negotiating contracts and ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery and product availability

Education & Experience Needed:                                                              

  • 7+ years of experience in sales management, with at least 5 years of experience in the food service industry, specifically within the meat or protein industry
  • Proven track record of handling large accounts and driving revenue growth
  • Strong knowledge of the meat industry, including product lines, distribution channels, and customer trends
  • Existing relationships with key accounts including management companies and chain restaurants
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Able to travel up to 50%
