EHS Manager – Dairy Products

Location: Seattle, WA Area (This position is onsite and not remote or hybrid)

Our client, a producer of premium diary products, is looking for an EHS Manager to add to their team. In this role you’ll be

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements governing environmental protection, occupational safety, and health standards Interfaces with regulatory agencies, plant staff, and the corporate HSE team as needed
• Monitor environmental compliance and ensure timely internal and external reporting and data input into tracking systems and communicate with VP and Plant Manager with any issues
• Monitor occupational safety and health compliance and ensure timely internal and external reporting and data input into tracking systems
• Develop and/or update all OSHA-required programs on an annual basis
• Work with plant management to develop and/or update machine-specific Lockout/Tagout procedures and Confined Space procedures using Brady Link 360
• Support Operations on all incident investigations and lead the root cause analysis process to identify causal factors and actions to prevent recurrence
• Ensure medical case management processes are understood and followed for all injuries
• Directly support delivery of all HSE training for all levels of employees
• Lead plant HSE Committee Team efforts and continue to develop the HSE Team program.
• Visibly lead health and safety initiatives in the plant through planned audits, coaching sessions and daily walkthroughs
• Coordinate required industrial hygiene activities including noise dosimetry, sound level mapping, chemical monitoring and ergonomic evaluations

Competencies/Culture:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Safety and Environment, Environmental Science or related field
• 3+ years of EHS experience in a food processing environment
• Dairy experience desired but not necessary
• Experience with federal, state and local regulations
• Experience in an HSE software system
• Professional certifications desired but not necessary (Certified Safety Professional, Certified Safety & Health Manager)
