Key Account Manager, Ice Cream Manufacturers

Location: Remote (USA)

Our client is a global leader in value added ingredients and value added commodity products that are used in food, beverage, and dairy applications. They are looking to add a Key Account Manager, to their growing team.

Candidates Must Have sales experience calling on Ice Cream Manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the business activity and the overall relationship with regional and global Ice Cream and frozen dessert accounts.
• Prepare Business reviews for customers including involvement from Quality, New Product Development [NPD], and Procurement.
• Develop strategies to attain annual tonnage and profitability target.
• Responsible for negotiating annual customer pricing contracts and continuous updates throughout the year including raw material cost fluctuations and/or formula changes initiated by customer, R&D or Quality Assurance, utilizing cost modelling.
• Support the project management of NPD team dedicated to ice cream related accounts.
• Complete monthly reports including sales and budget reports and forecasting for customers.
• Communicate weekly and monthly activities/projects to the Vice President of Sales and Development.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in a sales management position in the food industry, food ingredients experience a plus.
• Candidates Must Have sales experience calling on Ice Cream Manufacturers.
• Technical experience in Food Science or R&D is a plus.
• Project management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, relationship building.
• Computer skills – power point, excel, word, windows.
• Bachelor’s degree.
