Kinsa is recruiting for a Key Accounts Manager
Location: Mississauga , Canada

Our client is global manufacturer of pet food with a long history of delighting dogs and cats. Their US division is looking for a Key Account Manager, based out of their Mississauga office but serving all of Canada. In this role, you will develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing national and regional retailers as well as distributors. Overseeing major accounts, building and maintaining long-lasting valuable customer relationships, your impact on the company’s success will be critical.

  • College degree required. 3+ years of sales experience, to retailers and distributors. Pet food experience HIGHLY preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • As primary contact for customers and distributors, engage with new and existing accounts to ensure customer needs are met or exceeded. Increase the volume of sales with distributors and customers.
  • Review past and current sales reports to project sales and determine profitability. Provide strategic input on product features to match to meet the need of customers. 
  • Help create sales estimates for production and planning.
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding product and sales.
  • Make recommendations about pricing, promotions, credit terms, and bid specifications.
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop sales quotes and strategies. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required. French and English highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience selling food to retailers and working with distributors. Pet food experience is a HUGE plus.
  • Hunter profile, with the ability to leverage trends and data.
  • Excellent customer service skills, proven negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills. Highly adaptable to changing markets, business and customer needs.
  • Ability to travel daily or weekly or spend most of the day in vehicle (and fly as needed). Must hold unrestricted driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
