Location: Raleigh/Durham, NC area

Mission:
Our client is looking for a Director of Operations to add to their team. In this role you will be accountable for the entire manufacturing process in 2 plant operations. This role coordinates with different teams to foster the exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities.

Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and/or other singular qualifier under Competencies/Culture below).

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Implement Lean best practices in roasting and production facilities
• Oversight of all roasting and production responsibilities
• Generating and implementing policies, procedures and processing in both roasteries
• Planning appropriately for scaling and growth, including proactive staffing
• Motivating and inspiring an engaged team
• Working with the team to identify and solve concerns
• Managing operations budgets and growth forecast
• Managing all materials vendor relationships
• Managing all operations regulatory compliance

Competencies/Culture:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management or related field
• 5+ Year of progressive Operations experience in a food processing environment
• Technical knowledge of food/beverage processing and packaging
• Experience with CI, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principals (A MUST), certifications (Desirable)
• Project Management and budgeting experience
• Experience leading a team of plant personnel
• Multi-site experience (Desirable)
