Kinsa is recruiting for a Technical Services Manager – Baking
Location: Remote (US West Coast, 85% travel)

With over 150 years of experience, our client is a global leader in providing ingredients for baking and other foods, healthcare and biotechnology. They are looking to add an expert Technical Services Manager to support clients throughout North America. You’ll be the subject matter expert, driving the implementation of cutting-edge projects and new product introductions. Your deep knowledge of yeast-leavened baking processes will be critical to ensure quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

  • This role requires experience providing technical support/sales of ingredients to large industrial baking companies. You must live in the US, on the west coast. 85% travel.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • $110-133K base salary plus bonus.

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

  • Provide technical support, training and services, internally and with customers.
  • Identify new product opportunities based on market intelligence. Assist sales in gaining new business and maintaining clients through effective product application
  • Conduct practical testing of application projects and new products. Evaluate product improvements and new offerings through field testing.
  • Communicate technical information through reports and maintain the company database.
  • Stay ahead of industry baking trends and ingredient changes.
  • Attend trade shows, summits, and continuing education, sharing relevant information. Participate in and speak on behalf of the company as needed.

Competencies Needed for Success:

  • Live in the US & be permanently authorized to work in the US. Must be located on the west coast.
  • Formal baking education & training.
  • 5+ of practical experience.
  • Ability to analyze baking processes, explain and demonstrate products, and make objective recommendations to correct application problems while maintaining awareness of customers’ concerns, needs, and quality expectations.
  • Ability to travel 85% of the time; must maintain a current passport and/or VISA.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Proficiency in a second language is preferred but not required – Spanish or French.
