Kinsa is recruiting for a: Formulator – Vitamins/Supplements

Location: Onsite in Henderson, Nevada

Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturer of functional foods and supplements with a new opportunity for a Formulator to join their team in Nevada.  As a Formulator you will be working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, R&D and the CEO in this highly visible role. You will lead the new product formulation efforts, working with multiple departments to make sure products meet quality and performance standards.

*** 2+ years experience in formulation of vitamin/supplement/food space, must be comfortable working with executive leadership, Bachelor’s degree required  ***

Key Responsibilities in this role:
 

• You will test new and existing products and raw materials, maintaining documentation files
• Create recipes for dispensing and blending
• Evaluate production processes using statistical process-control methods
• Identify methods to improve products from a raw material aspect
• Assist QC in method development for material analysis
• Input new raw materials and formulas

Education & Experience Needed:    
                                                          

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry or related field
• 2 + years of formulation experience in the nutritional vitamin/supplement industry or similar field
• Comfortable interacting professionally verbally and in writing with executive team
• Strong analytical ability to recommend solutions and gather data
• Good understanding of the impact of food and nutrients on health
