Information Technology Specialist

Location: Middletown, NY Area

Mission:
Our client, a producer of premium frozen and refrigerated products, is looking for an IT Specialist to add to their team. In this role you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining an organization’s technology infrastructure to ensure smooth operation of computer networks and software applications.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.  
• Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software problems.
• Manage and maintain company servers, systems, and security protocols.
• Ensure proper network connectivity and functionality, performing regular updates and backups.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining company-wide IT infrastructure – configuration of servers, workstations and networking devices.
• Collaborate with team members to implement new technologies and resolve IT issues.
• Monitor IT performance and provide regular system reports to management.
• Perform routine system backups and ensure data recovery in case of loss or breach.
• Monitor and maintain security systems, ensuring sensitive data is protected from unauthorized access
• Manage company’s computer system
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes
• Manage annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
• Create accurate product labels and communicate any changes to the marketing department
• Work with R&D department in updating recipes of the products
• Generate a daily production quantity report card
• Participate in SQF and GMP annual re-training for year round food safety

Competencies/Culture:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or relocated field
• IT experience in a manufacturing environment
• Multi-Site experience
• Experience with ORACLE systems
• Experience implementing IT infrastructure
• Experience programming, Basic Business Java and willingness to learn internal system
