Head of Maintenance & Engineering Manager – Meat

Kinsa is recruiting for a: Head of Maintenance and Engineering
Location: Madison, FL Area (Not a remote or hybrid position)

Mission:
Our client, a producer of premium processed meat products, is looking for a Head of Maintenance and Engineering to add to their team. In this role you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a company’s maintenance, repair, and engineering operations.

Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and/or other singular qualifier under Competencies/Culture below).

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Work with Plant Engineering in capital investment projects, refrigeration projects, line upgrades and equipment changes
• Provide leadership to team with full responsibility for HR Management, such as qualifications, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions and discipline issues
• Responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategy and standards in alignment with company policy and cost-effective techniques
• Secure professional and economic execution of maintenance activities and high availability of manufacturing units and equipment
• Control and compliance of annual maintenance and engineering budget
• Responsible for engineering and maintenance regulatory inspections and customer audits
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and safety regulations

Competencies/Culture:         

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
• 5+ year of progressive maintenance/engineering leadership experience in a food processing environment
• Experience leading a team of maintenance and engineering professionals
• Experience with CI and Lean initiatives
• Experience with ammonia and refrigeration
• Experience with CAPEX projects
• Experience with OSHA, USDA and Safety Regulations
