Technical Services Chemist – Sanitation Technologies (Remote Midwest)

Rapidly-growing chemical and sanitation technologies company providing professional sanitation programs to food & beverage manufacturers nationwide.

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

• Develop sanitation chemical formulations and provide technical support for food and beverage manufacturers in the upper Midwest region. 
• Focus on Dairy manufacturers using membrane filtration cleaning programs. Other industries include Snack Food, Produce, Cereal, and Breweries.
• Build an in-depth understanding of company’s products, plant operations, customer objectives, and food safety.
• Work directly with Territory Managers and other Technical Support Staff to add value to accounts’ sanitation programs.
• Improve current sanitation product formulations. 
• Provide chemistry, microbiology, and engineering expertise to customers.

Competencies Needed for Success:

• 4+ years of relevant technical experience in Chemical and/or Food and Beverage manufacturing. Dairy industry experience preferred. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related field. MS degree preferred. 
• Strong knowledge of CIP processes.
• Ability to travel to customers in MN, WI, IA, and SD.
• Travel: 60-70%

Compensation/Benefits:

• $85,000 – 95,000 Base + Bonus up to $30,000
