Kinsa is recruiting for a: Sales Category Manager – Beverage Ingredients
Location: Pacific Northwest (Hybrid or On-site preferred – Remote flexibility may be considered)

Our client is a well-established, vertically integrated fruit ingredient supplier with decades of success serving the food and beverage manufacturing industry. With a focus on juice-based ingredients—including not-from-concentrate, concentrates, and purees—they partner with customers in the brewing, winemaking, cider, and beverage spaces to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

As part of a strategic growth initiative, they are seeking a Sales Category Manager to lead the beverage ingredient division, drive category performance, and oversee a small internal team. This role is ideal for a dynamic, hands-on sales leader with deep knowledge of the beverage market, strong relationship-building skills, and a background in value-added ingredient sales.

Candidates MUST HAVE experience in beverage ingredient sales to breweries, cideries, or wineries, and a proven track record of growing high-volume accounts.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • $90,000 – $120,000 base salary + 10% bonus potential

  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and more

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

  • Own and grow a profitable ingredient sales category focused on fruit juice-based products

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities

  • Monitor market trends and translate insights into competitive sales strategies

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, QA, Marketing, and Finance

  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and forecasts to senior leadership

  • Travel up to 1–2 times per month to visit customers and attend trade shows

  • Lead and mentor a small commercial support team (no direct supervisory experience required)

  • Identify and execute on cross-selling and category expansion opportunities

Competencies Needed for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field

  • 3–5 years of ingredient sales experience in food/beverage processing (fruit/juice preferred)

  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools

  • Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills
