Plant Manager

Kinsa is recruiting for a:  Plant Manager / Dairy Processing     
                                  
Location: Defiance, OH (Onsite)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our production facility. This role is responsible for overseeing plant activities, coordinating with management and staff, and ensuring the efficient, compliant, and high-quality production of goods. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in dairy food manufacturing, exceptional leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to guide operational success.

Compensation/Benefits:                                                                         

• $160,000 – $190,000
• 20% bonus potential

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

• Direct and manage daily operations of the facility, including staff oversight and production planning.
• Conduct daily team meetings to align plant activities with operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality assurance, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor and refine operational processes, programs, and reporting systems for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Advise leadership on operational policies, compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement training and development programs for staff and management.
•  Lead initiatives to reduce waste, improve product quality, and control costs.
• Evaluate and improve performance through goal setting, tracking KPIs, and staff development.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal agencies, including USDA and environmental entities

Competencies Needed for Success:                                                                                   

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 10 years of directly related experience.
• Mandatory experience in dairy foods manufacturing; preference for cultured products such as yogurt and cottage cheese.
• Demonstrated success in managing teams and achieving production goals.
