Process Engineer – Food Industry Equipment

Kinsa is recruiting for a:  Process Engineer – Food Equipment
Location: Detroit, MI Area

Mission:
Our client, an engineering firm with premium food processing services, is looking for a Process Engineer to add to their team. In this role you will be responsible for

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Specification and design of the equipment scope including the preparation of PFD and P&ID schematics
• Perform mass and heat balance calculations
• Prepare bid specifications
• Dimensioning of the installations and related equipment: sheet metal equipment, specifications on specific equipment (valves, heat exchangers, rotating machines, instrumentation, etc.)
• Development of the functional description and the operating manual
• Commissioning of the System
• Work closely with Process Engineering group and General Manager in identifying new business opportunities
• Prepare technical sales presentations
• New business development by interfacing with potential new customers

Competencies/Culture:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of Processing Engineering experience
• Knowledge of vacuum evaporation and spray drying processes
• Experience in a food processing environment (dairy ideal)
• Preparation of PFD and PID schematics
• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
