General Manager – Meat Processing

Kinsa is recruiting for a: General Manager – Meat Products
Location: Windom, MN

Mission:
Our client, is a manufacturer of pork products, is looking for a General Manager to add to their team. In this role you will be responsible for building a team from the ground up, overseeing all aspects of the plant’s operations, including production, safety, compliance and financial performance. 

Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and/or other singular qualifier under Competencies/Culture below).

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Strategic Director and business Growth
• System Development and Implementation of new product types
• Design and implement food safety and quality programs adhering to USDA, FDA, FSMA, HACCP for raw cook and processed meats
• Auditing, inspections and regulatory compliance
• Document control and reporting
• Develop and implement CI and Lean initiatives
• Supplier Management
• Establish and manage traceability systems to ensure full traceability of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in FSQA
• Experience in RTE meat products
• Experience developing and implementing SQF Programs
• USDA, FSMA, HACCP, PCQI experience and relevant certifications
• Experience leading a team of professionals
