Director of Sales, Cooked Meat

Kinsa is recruiting for a: Director of Sales – Cooked Meat                    
Location: Home office in the U.S.
Our client is a growing manufacturer of meat products with customers in the Food Service and Retail channels with a new opportunity for a Director of Sales to join their team. You will be responsible for driving growth by cultivating relationships with key decision-makers in restaurant chains and retail channels, with the opportunity to forge your own path.  The Director of Sales will leverage meat industry knowledge to ensure products are available to meet customers’ needs.

*** 5+ years sales of cooked meat products to Foodservice or Retail sectors  ***

• Competitive base salary up to $120K plus discretionary bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• You will maintain existing accounts and develop new accounts in the Foodservice and Retail channels
• Manage pricing strategies, negotiate contracts, and drive initiatives that lead to profitable sales
• Set and achieve sales revenue and margin goals, managing a portfolio of key accounts to maximize growth potential
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to prospective customers
• Provide regular updates on sales activities, customer feedback, and market insights to management

Education & Experience Needed:                                                              

• 5+ years of strong sales knowledge of selling cooked pork products to the restaurant, foodservice or retail channels
• Familiarity with Food Safety guidelines and regulations
• Able to work with a team, strong organizational skills a plus
• Knowledge of how pricing is established and communicated
• Travel to trade shows as needed
