Sr. Sales and Business Development Director (Northeast Florida) – Grocer, Distributor / CPG

 

Seeking a role as: VP of Sales or Director of Sales in the Food or CPG industries for a well-funded start-up, small or medium sized company that is desiring to build their company, distribution and sales within the Grocery, Club, C-Store, Drug, Distributor, Food Service or Export classes of trade.

 

In Location: Based in northeastern Florida (Not intending to relocate but can travel extensively as needed to achieve the goals of the company.)

 

Skills:

  • Successfully managed the sales and directly contributed to scaling a small, local, perishable processor of packaged products into a $400mm international company.
  • Successfully built, managed and mentored an internal sales team that included Domestic Retail, Food Service and International divisions.
  • Built domestic and international broker networks. Extensive broker contacts are still currently established and engaged.
  • Vast and broad experience in developing viable products from concept to shelf in Branded, Private Label and Co-Pack spaces.
  • Experience in creating company strategic vision & goals and then creating detailed Sales plans to achieve the strategic vision & goals.
  • Dedicated to developing and utilizing process to build out and manage sales distribution and customers.
  • Broad experience in developing budgets and forecasts along with responsibility for managing each closely to meet expectations.
  • Have directly called on all of the Top 50 grocery accounts in the USA and have an understanding of each of their “go to market” strategies and competitive landscapes.

Compensation: Negotiable, with a combination of base salary and performance-based compensation expected to exceed $200,000 annually. Open to equity-based compensation.
