Our client operates in the produce industry and oversees a production and packaging facility supporting perishable products.

What You’ll Do:
As Plant Manager, you will lead the operations of a facility with approximately 100 employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable production and packaging of fresh produce. This high-impact leadership role oversees production, maintenance, plant performance, and P&L responsibilities while partnering closely with operations and production teams.

• Lead plant operations across production, packaging, and maintenance functions.
• Oversee six direct reports, including an Operations Manager, two Production Managers, two Production Supervisors, and the Maintenance team.
• Manage production and maintenance activities for a workforce of approximately 100 employees.
• Own plant-level P&L performance and drive operational results.
• Maintain a visible presence on the production and packaging floor while supporting daily execution.
• Work a schedule of approximately 55 hours per week, including five days one week and six days the next, generally from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Qualifications You Have:

• 7+ years of relevant experience, 3+ years of leadership.
• Experience with fresh produce or similar perishable products.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee production and maintenance operations.
• Experience managing plant-level P&L responsibilities.
• Willingness to work directly on the production and packaging floor and maintain a five- to six-day work schedule.
• Willingness to relocate to and remain in Benton Harbor, Michigan for the required duration; relocation assistance is provided.
