What You’ll Do:
As a Food Service Director, you will lead the development and execution of strategic plans to grow our foodservice channel within the bakery sector. This pivotal role involves building strong relationships with distributors, operators, and other key partners, while driving profitable growth and expanding brand presence across various foodservice segments. Your expertise will help translate market trends and customer needs into actionable sales strategies, ensuring long-term success for our bakery solutions.
- Own the commercial development and long-term growth plan for the foodservice channel, aligned with overall sales objectives.
- Develop and implement annual and multi-year business plans including channel strategy, revenue targets, and key initiatives.
- Lead negotiations and nurture relationships with national and regional foodservice distributors, operators, GPOs, and strategic partners.
- Identify new business opportunities across healthcare, education, hospitality, and other away-from-home segments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to align strategies and execute plans.
- Manage financial reviews, monitor performance metrics, and optimize sales pipeline to maximize growth and profitability.
Qualifications You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Foodservice Management, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in bakery foodservice sales or related food industry roles
- Proven success managing senior-level relationships with foodservice distributors and key accounts
- Strong negotiation, influence, and relationship-building skills
- Financial acumen covering pricing, margins, and forecasting
- Deep understanding of the bakery foodservice landscape, including distribution models and menu applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM systems, and sales reporting tools
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customer and industry engagements
