Kinsa is recruiting for a: National Sales Director
Location: Remote with extensive travel, US
Since the 1970s, our client has been one of the country’s premier providers of pork. They are committed to human treatment of their livestock, integrity and excellence. They are looking to add a National Sales Director to their team, selling nationally to retailers. You will manage and grow a book of business and lead strategic sales throughout the US. Reporting directly to the President, you will oversee the company’s sales. The Director of Retail plays a critical role in developing and implementing retail strategies, driving business growth, and ensuring the overall success of the company’s retail pork sales.
- 5+ years of retail sales experience and relevant distributor experience. Solid knowledge of the meat industry & retail market for meat.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $125-160k base salary plus 20-30% bonus potential

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
- Lead and execute the company’s retail sales and support strategy, setting the vision and direction for growth, profitability, and expansion opportunities. Grow a book of business of national retail accounts.
- Manage retail sales performance by monitoring broker relationships, KPIs, pricing, margins, expenses, and revenue targets while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee customer service and cross-functional collaboration with marketing, demand planning, and sales to improve customer satisfaction, inventory strategy, promotions, placement, and shelf performance.
- Use market trends, customer insights, and sales data to guide product innovation, competitive strategy, and new market development.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- Bachelors degree or commensurate experience.
- 5+ years of retail sales experience – reflecting a true “hunter” mentality.
- 3+ years of sales strategy & leadership experience.
- Knowledge of the meat industry & the retail market for meat, with an up-to-date network of meat buyers and distributors.
