Our client is seeking a B2B Sales Manager to join its dynamic team and play a pivotal role in expanding their footprint across innovative food applications. This high-impact position offers an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to lead the charge in securing new business, building strategic partnerships, and accelerating growth within a thriving company that values relationships, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit.  

Key Responsibilities & Goals:

  • As a B2B Sales Manager, you will leverage your expertise to identify and convert high-value prospects across key markets such as beverages, nutritional bars, bakery, and more.

  • Using a strategic, data-driven approach and industry-leading tools like Power BI, Nielsen, Mintel, and Sales Navigator, you’ll develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, negotiate profitable deals, and collaborate closely with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to bring new ingredient innovations to market.

  • Your efforts will directly impact our growth trajectory, profitability, and market positioning—making a real difference every day.  

Competencies Needed for Success:

  • 5-10+ years of B2B sales experience within the Food Ingredients industry, with a proven record of prospecting, qualifying, and closing high-quality leads.  

  • Strong technical aptitude and confidence in data analysis tools such as Power BI, Nielsen, and Sales Navigator.  

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.  

  • Willing to travel up to 50%, demonstrating flexibility and dedication.  

  • Ability to work independently with a collaborative mindset to drive team success.  

  • Deep understanding of food application markets, including beverages, bakery, and nutritional bars, is highly preferred.

Nice to Have Skills:  

  • Experience selling ingredients like vegetable proteins, fibers, sweeteners, fats & oils, and starches.  

  • Familiarity with additional food applications such as pasta, sauces, confections, flavors, and coatings.

Preferred Education & Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.  

  • Extensive experience in sales with a food ingredients distributor, especially in ingredient innovation and strategic account management.

  • Sales experience targeting major CPG and Grocery manufacturers, including branded and co-packed food products.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $130-160,000+
  • Bonus: 20%
