Kinsa is recruiting for a: General Manager – Poultry
Location: US, remote with significant travel

Our client debones poultry for retail, foodservice and industrial clients. They are looking to add a General Manager to their team, to grow high-performance sales and procurement teams to support continuing growth of the business. You will lead and develop the commercial team while owning both revenue generation and raw material sourcing, creating structured accountability and aligning supply with customer demand to drive profitable growth.

  • 7+ years in poultry industry, with extensive involvement in sales and operations. Hands-on leader with experience leading sales teams and/or procurement functions. Very tech/AI/data savvy.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $150-180k base salary plus generous bonus potential (base pay may be higher for the perfect candidate)

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

  • Build, lead, and coach scalable Sales, Procurement, and Customer Service teams with clear roles, accountability, and development plans.
  • Lead a regular operating cadence for pipeline reviews, forecasting, and procurement planning.
  • Drive revenue growth by acting on market opportunities, executing go-to-market strategies, and expanding market share across new and existing accounts.
  • Own key customer and supplier relationships, pricing strategy, and margin performance.
  • Lead sourcing strategy for poultry raw materials and inputs, including supplier relationships, negotiations, and risk management. Align procurement decisions with plant capacity, customer commitments, margin goals, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with operations, production, and finance to align sales commitments with throughput, yields, labor efficiency, and profitability.
  • Build disciplined commercial systems and reporting, including CRM, forecasts, KPIs, dashboards, pricing, and profitability analysis.
  • Establish repeatable, scalable processes that improve visibility, consistency, and execution.

Competencies Needed for Success:

  • 7+ years in the meat industry – preferably poultry.
  • Hands-on leader with experience leading sales teams and/or procurement functions. Proven ability to build teams and drive accountability.
  • Forward thinking. Extremely technology savvy – including AI — and data-oriented.
  • Strong understanding of commodity dynamics + value-added selling
  • Travel 50% +
