Senior Cost Accountant

Kinsa is recruiting for a: Senior Cost Accountant
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite, with relocation)

Committed to quality, integrity, innovation and corporate responsibility, the company continues to grow. They are looking to add a Senior Cost Accountant to their team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will analyze product, material, labor, and manufacturing cost changes; comparing standard versus actual costs; and reporting cost impacts to leadership. You will manage budgets and standards, reviewing weekly KPIs and variances, recommending cost-process improvements, and maintaining ERP item codes.

• Relevant degree, 5+ years cost accounting experience in food manufacturing. No sponsorships.

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

• Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, determining effects on costs.

• Maintain and review weekly KPI’s with leadership with ability explain and analyze variances.

• Budgeting and standards review management.

• Monitor material and labor cost and identify information requirements and recommend improvements.

• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

• Create and maintain internal item code system for ERP software.

Competencies Needed for Success:

• 4-year Accounting/Business/Finance degree.

• 5+ years relevant experience, in food manufacturing.

• Demonstrated ability to define quantitative/qualitative problems, collect data, interpret results, and draw valid conclusions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong experience with ERP systems.
