Principal Scientist – Liquid Product Development (Food & Beverage)

In this influential position, you’ll leverage your deep expertise in food science, chemistry, and processing technologies to develop emulsions, sauces, dressings, and beverages that combine safety, quality, and consumer appeal. Partner closely with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless scale-up and process validation, while engaging directly with customers to translate their needs into innovative, market-ready products. Your leadership will drive cross-functional projects, mentor junior scientists, and contribute to continuous improvement within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Competencies Needed for Success:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field  
• 10+ years of hands-on R&D experience in shelf-stable liquid food or beverage development  
• Proven expertise in formulation, thermal/non-thermal processing, and shelf-life stability  
• Experience scaling formulations from bench to manufacturing, including leading plant trials  
• Strong customer engagement skills, including co-development, troubleshooting, and technical presentations

Nice to Have Skills:  

• Advanced degree in Food Science or related discipline 
• Experience in high-paced, customer-driven environments such as ingredient or food manufacturing companies

Preferred Education and Experience:  

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred  
• Over 10 years of practical experience in liquid food product development and commercialization
