Supply Chain Manager – Los Angeles area / Torrance, CA (On-Site)

Our client is an importer of specialty soft drinks in the beverage industry, specializing in the distribution of soft drinks to retail and specialty markets in the US. With a global footprint, they are committed to innovation, quality, and operational excellence.

What Our Client Offers You:

• Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000, plus bonus
• Medical Benefits: 100% paid by employer for employee premiums, with 50% coverage for family
• 401(k) Benefits: 50% match up to 6% of pay (3%)
• Paid Time Off: Vacation, sick leave (40 hours), and holidays
• Local candidates only, no relocation assistance offered. Hybrid work schedule available for local candidates in 2027.

What You’ll Do:
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end management of import, inventory, and distribution operations supporting our client’s beverage product lines. This pivotal role involves managing logistics budgets, leading a small team, and collaborating closely with sales and leadership to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help optimize container shipments, control production schedules, and maintain inventory levels, all while supporting the company’s growth and profitability.

• Manage and optimize import logistics, including container scheduling and freight negotiations.
• Coordinate production and inventory planning with international and domestic co-packers.
• Oversee budget, P&L, and cost control for logistics operations.
• Lead and develop the Logistics/SCM team, including the Assistant Manager.
• Ensure compliance with FDA and other regulatory standards, maintaining necessary certifications.
• Collaborate with sales and leadership to align supply chain strategies with business goals.

Qualifications You Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the beverage or food industry.
• Proven experience managing high-volume container/import operations (400+ containers/year).
• Strong inventory management and budget oversight skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP or Business Central.
• Ability to travel internationally or out-of-state 1–2 times per year.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Japanese preferred but not required.
• PCQI Certification required; must be obtained within 30 days if not already certified.
