SEEKING A ROLE AS: Sr. Product Development opportunities for a small or mid-sized food processing company in the Food processing R&D sector.

IN LOCATION: Currently living in California. Willing to relocate: yes. Worksite preference: Open (onsite, hybrid, or remote), west coast location.

SKILLS & ACHIEVEMENTS: Senior R&D and Product Development leader with a proven track record of translating customer needs into new, scalable food products—combining hands-on lab expertise with strong project, technical, and budget management.
• Years of experience in industry: 20+ years in R&D / Food Science / Product Development (extruded particulates and rice flour product applications)
• CATEGORY skills (Food Science / R&D / Product Development): new product development, experimental design, data analysis, technical documentation and project summaries, laboratory budgeting, process and product improvement, technical customer support and presentations
• Team leadership: Managed research and development projects with clear technical and management expertise (direct reports not explicitly stated in the resume)
• Business impact (volume/revenue metrics): Created 800+ new extruded grain particulates in response to and proactively for customer requirements; improved existing products and manufacturing processes

COMPENSATION: Base salary expectation is around $185,000 plus incentives, aligned to cost of living and the scope of product development and R&D leadership responsibilities.
