Kinsa is recruiting for a Financial Controller
Location: near Philadelphia, PA (Onsite, relocation stipend)
For more than 50 years, our client has helped food manufacturers across the United States bring distinctive products to market through custom seasoning blends, dry mixes, and flavor systems. As the company enters its next stage of growth, it is seeking a Controller to join the leadership team at its headquarters near Philadelphia, PA. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will serve as the company’s senior financial leader, with responsibility for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and long-term financial planning.
- 10+ years of accounting experience, 5+ in leadership roles. Food manufacturing background, stable career history required.

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
- Direct financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis to support informed business decisions.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead the annual operating plan (AOP) and companywide budgeting process. Establish and maintain effective internal controls and coordinate audit activities.
- Oversee cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, tax filings, and financial compliance.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations to strengthen supply and demand planning. Support oversight of the company’s IT and human resources functions.
- Manage the company’s banking, insurance, and other critical external relationships.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and administrative team members.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Ten or more years of progressive accounting and finance experience; experience in a small to mid-sized manufacturing environment is preferred.
- CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required; experience with Sage ERP systems is preferred.
