Kinsa is recruiting for a: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Greater St. Louis, MO Area

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to provide hands-on leadership for daily maintenance operations while driving equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with production leadership to improve asset performance, develop maintenance systems, and build a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

  • Lead daily preventive and corrective maintenance activities while providing technical leadership and support to the maintenance team.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians, promoting accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive maintenance performance by monitoring equipment uptime, preventive maintenance compliance, work order completion, and overall equipment reliability.
  • Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize asset performance.
  • Partner with Production to coordinate maintenance schedules, planned downtime, and equipment improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure maintenance documentation, work orders, and maintenance systems are accurate and up to date.
  • Champion workplace safety while driving continuous improvement and standardization of maintenance processes.

Competencies Needed for Success:

  • 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including 3+ years in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, CMMS, equipment reliability, and root cause analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead maintenance teams while partnering effectively with production and other cross-functional departments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training, journeyman certification, or maintenance certifications are a plus.
