What You'll Do:
As a Materials & Inventory Planner, you will play a vital role in managing raw material and packaging supply chains for a dynamic frozen food manufacturing facility. Your expertise will ensure inventory accuracy, optimize supply planning, and support production efficiency. This role is essential in maintaining seamless operations and preventing supply disruptions.
- Manage raw materials and packaging supply planning using MRP, converting planned orders into purchase orders against supplier contracts.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, investigating variances, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Scheduling, Warehouse, Procurement, Quality, and Finance teams to support production schedules and resolve supply issues.
- Monitor inbound deliveries, reconcile delivery appointments, and manage aging or excess inventory to minimize waste.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for purchasing, cycle counting, and inventory adjustments.
- Lead inventory review meetings, escalate supply risks, and provide early warnings on shortages or discrepancies.
Qualifications You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, operations, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials planning, purchasing, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or beverage.
- Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems, with NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
- Investigative mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, lot traceability, and GFSI audits (preferred).
