Location: Reading, Pennsylvania

This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in procurement, supplier management, and new ingredient sourcing that directly impacts production success and future product development.

• 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment required; food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary: $68,000 to $78,000

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

• Manage purchasing activities and review MRP requirements to support production needs
• Create and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Partner with R&D on ingredient sourcing and new product initiatives
• Maintain supplier documentation, specifications, and procurement records
• Resolve purchasing, receiving, and invoice discrepancies
• Support supplier selection and continuous improvement efforts within procurement

Competencies Needed for Success:

• 5+ years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
• Food manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Self-motivated professional with sound judgment and problem-solving skills
