About Our Client
Our client is a growing food manufacturer specializing in premium dough-based products for national and regional private label customers. As the business continues to expand its customer base and production capabilities, they are seeking a hands-on Production / Maintenance Manager to help drive operational excellence, equipment reliability, and plant performance during an exciting phase of growth.

What You’ll Do
This is a highly visible leadership role within a lean manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who enjoys spending time on the production floor, developing teams, improving processes, and strengthening equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, service, and efficiency objectives are achieved
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, labor utilization, waste reduction, downtime reduction, and overall plant performance
• Partner closely with Quality, Sanitation, and Operations teams to maintain food safety and regulatory compliance
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues while supporting maintenance activities as needed
• Manage production schedules, staffing, training, and employee development
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators including OEE, labor efficiency, safety, quality, and productivity
• Support future growth initiatives, capacity expansion efforts, and operational improvements
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of leadership experience within food manufacturing
• Bakery, dough, snack food, frozen food, or related manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the plant floor
• Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Mechanical aptitude with maintenance leadership experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, food safety, and quality systems
• Experience implementing continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or reliability initiatives
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team development skills
