Kinsa is recruiting for a: Technical Sales Manager / Ingredients
Location: Central U.S. (Remote)
Our client is a global food ingredient manufacturer and is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to support business growth across the Central United States. This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships with food manufacturers, providing technical expertise, and delivering ingredient solutions that improve yield, product quality, and operational efficiency in meat and poultry industries.
- MUST HAVE experience in tech sales of functional ingredients into the protein industries.
Compensation/Benefits:
- $100,000 – $130,000 base salary
- Bonus potential based on KPIs

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and margin expansion within assigned customer accounts and territory.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing food manufacturing customers.
- Conduct technical sales presentations and provide product expertise on ingredient solutions for protein and food processing applications.
- Collaborate with customers to understand production challenges and recommend ingredient technologies that improve yield, moisture retention, and product quality.
- Manage the full sales process including prospecting, customer relationship development, technical demonstrations, and commercial negotiations.
- Support product trials and plant-level testing with customers to ensure successful implementation of ingredient programs.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales or sales support within the food ingredient or food manufacturing industry.
- Experience working with protein or meat processing applications strongly preferred.
- Proven success managing strategic accounts and delivering sales growth.
- Strong understanding of food science, ingredient functionality, and commercial sales processes.
- Ability to deliver technical presentations and support plant-level product trials with customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Meat Science, Food Science, or a related technical discipline.
