Growing Operations & Distribution General Manager Candidate

SEEKING A ROLE AS: A General Manager / Senior Operations Leader within a small to mid-sized food, agriculture, or fresh produce organization, supporting retail and foodservice customers.

IN LOCATION: Currently living in Warner Robins, GA.
Not open to relocation but comfortable with hybrid or remote roles with extended travel if needed.

PROFILE
Operations and general management leader with 20+ years of experience leading labor-intensive fresh food and controlled-environment agriculture operations. Brings hands-on site leadership, deep labor management expertise (including H-2A programs), and strong food safety and compliance oversight. Known for stabilizing underperforming facilities, rebuilding frontline and supervisory teams, implementing disciplined operating processes, and restoring profitability in complex, high-labor environments. Bilingual English/Spanish leader who builds trust on the floor while driving accountability and results.

SKILLS & ACHIEVEMENTS
– 20+ years of experience in fresh food production and controlled-environment agriculture operations
– Category expertise includes: labor-intensive operations, greenhouse production, fresh produce, food safety, and workforce-driven environments
– Full site leadership and P&L ownership, including budgeting, labor planning, cost controls, and production scheduling
– Proven turnaround leadership, returning a large greenhouse facility to profitability after 2.5 years of losses through labor stabilization and efficiency improvements
– Extensive labor leadership, managing large hourly, seasonal, and supervisory teams; deep experience with H-2A workforce programs
– Food safety & compliance oversight, including GAP programs, audit readiness, and certification support
– Built and implemented SOPs, KPIs, and operating discipline in growing and under-structured environments
– Developed frontline and supervisory talent, strengthening leadership benches and reducing operational risk
– Bilingual communicator (English & Spanish) effective across frontline, supervisory, and leadership teams
– Experienced with operational systems including Priva, Hortimax, and Hoogendoorn

EDUCATION
Ingeniero en Horticultura (Horticultural Engineering)
Centro de Estudios Superiores del Estado de Sonora (CESUES), Hermosillo, Mexico

COMPENSATION
Base salary expectations dependent on scope, location, and cost of living, but likely in the $100,000–$140,000+ range, plus incentives.
