SEEKING A ROLE AS: QA Manager, QA Supervisor
IN LOCATION: Based in the Greater Lansing, MI area. Willing to relocate for the right opportunity and travel as needed.
PROFILE:
Experienced FSQA Leader with 20 years of progressive experience across USDA-inspected meat and poultry facilities, retail grocery operations, and distribution environments. PCQI-certified and highly experienced in designing, implementing, and maintaining HACCP and FSMA compliant food safety systems. Proven program owner for sanitation, GMPs, pest control, traceability, recall response, and audit readiness. Brings hands-on plant floor leadership experience, working directly with production, sanitation, and operations teams to build compliant, practical food safety programs that improve audit outcomes and product consistency.
SKILLS & ACHIEVEMENTS:
– 20 years of food safety leadership across USDA-inspected meat and poultry production, retail grocery, and distribution environments.
– Designed and maintained full HACCP, SSOP, and FSMA Preventive Controls programs for USDA-inspected processing facilities and verified incoming meat and poultry.
– Led recall response procedures and mock recall testing programs; served as primary responder for product holds and traceability events.
– Owned pest control, sanitation, GMP, allergen management, and foreign material prevention programs with strong audit performance.
– Served as primary QA contact for third-party and internal audits, coordinating preparation, execution, and corrective action follow-up.
– Conducted internal audits and CAPA investigations, driving root cause analysis and corrective action validation.
– Trained and coached 170+ employees on food safety compliance, documentation, allergen awareness, and audit readiness.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science – Animal Science / Food Industry Management
PCQI – Preventive Controls Qualified Individual, Certified Food Safety Manager
COMPENSATION: Base salary expectation in the $80,000 – $100,000 range depending on scope of responsibility, incentives, and total compensation package.
