Sr. Quality Assurance Manager Candidate

SEEKING A ROLE AS: quality assurance/food safety leader for a small or mid-sized food processing company in the dietary supplements, probiotics, and fermentation-based ingredients sector.

IN LOCATION: currently living in the Madison, WI Area. Open to relocation: yes. worksite preference: open to onsite, hybrid, or remote.

SKILLS & ACHIEVEMENTS: senior quality leader with 20+ years in regulated food and nutrition environments, building and integrating quality management systems across multi-site operations with strong customer focus and measurable performance improvements.
• 20+ years of experience in dietary supplements, food safety, probiotics/fermentation, laboratory quality systems, and certification programs
• deep expertise in 21 CFR 111/117, FSMA (HACCP/HARPC), FSSC 22000, iso 17025, NSF requirements, and global quality system integration
• proven people leader: managed 3 QA Managers with 20 indirect reports; led international teams of 10+ and multi-discipline groups across multiple sites
• $110m+ operational scope supporting quality and training across seven global locations; additional experience leading $7m–$10m program operations
• delivered tangible results: increased right-first-time batch records by 50%, reduced complaints by 60%, achieved +98% batch success, and drove capa on-time completion to 95%
• strong systems and execution: kpis, hoshin kanri x-matrix, audit programs (25+ internal and 20+ external audits), sap quality management module implementation
• customer and partner-facing leadership, including negotiating quality agreements and contracts and supporting cmo oversight and performance tracking

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s of Science in biological science, Michigan State University.

COMPENSATION: base salary expectation dependent on cost of living and responsibilities but likely in the $170,000 range plus incentives.
