Talented Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager Candidate

SEEKING A ROLE AS: Senior Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager for a small or mid-sized food processing company in the Food Manufacturing / Food Safety & Quality Control.

IN LOCATION: Currently living in Sacramento, CA. Worksite Preference: Open.

SKILLS & ACHIEVEMENTS: This candidate is an experienced food safety and quality assurance professional with over 10 years of industry expertise across multiple segments including food manufacturing, milling, and ingredient production. She has demonstrated a strong commitment to elevating product safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards within diverse organizations. Her key skills include:
• Developing and managing food safety systems in compliance with FDA, GFSI (SQF), FSMA, and HACCP standards.
• Leading cross-functional teams, including direct supervision of QA staff, to drive continuous quality improvements and ensure inspection readiness.
• Managing supplier quality programs, overseeing third-party audits, and maintaining ISO and certification standards.
• Implementing and maintaining comprehensive SOPs, risk mitigation strategies, and regulatory documentation to support food safety initiatives.
• Expertise in GMP, GSP, sanitation principles, and HACCP plan development, with a proven track record of reducing food safety risks.
• Technical proficiency with certifications such as PCQI, HACCP, SQF Practitioner, and AIB.
• Experienced in managing large-scale audits, customer complaints, and product commercialization projects.

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences

COMPENSATION: Base salary expectation in the $175,000 range, dependent on responsibilities and location, plus incentives.
